A few weeks after the PlayJam —where Snooze or Lose was created— the team gathered once more for a round of fixes and improvements to the the game. Here are the results!
Gameplay
- score adjustments: a game runs from 7am to midnight as the highest score
- gameplay economy: tweaked points and health loss per enemy
- improved enemy spawning so they don't spawn off-screen or on top of the character
- improved enemy behaviour
- tweaks to hit boxes
Visual improvements
- added animations for snoring, cat sitting and walking
- added enemy dead reactions and cat screaming
- added punch animation and other animation polish
- light bubbles render prettier and pop when they hit the character
- game over overlay fades to the light-filled version and shows bigger score
- added animated and improved title card
- resized UI for better readability
Sound
- changed FX to support gameplay and changes to enemy behaviour

- Fixed some glitches with the arm controls
